I was honoured by invitations from the Adolescent Health Academy of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics to deliver the prestigious Dr S Bhave-Dr MKC Nair Oration at the 9th annual conference of the Academy – Adolescon 2009 (in Belgaum) and at its 23rd annual conference -Adolescon 2023 (in Amristar).

This token of appreciation from my classmates for leading the development of our YEARBOOK to mark the Golden Jubilee of our joining Osmania Medical College in 1975 is very special.

I am deeply humbled by these awards from my peers in my country of origin and globally. They celebrate my work, but also the work I have done with colleagues in the World Health Organization and collaborators from around the world.
